An OUTSTANDING School Ofsted April 2013
The Ofsted report stated that overall achievement was outstanding, with pupils making excellent progress across all key stages.
Pupil behaviour was viewed as excellent, both inside and outside the classroom, with the children themselves feeling that the school was a safe and very happy place to which they enjoy coming to learn. Extremely positive links with parents, governors and the wider community were also highlighted within the report.
Head teacher, Mark Stephenson, said “The children were a credit to themselves and their parents throughout the inspection and we would really like to thank them for their hard work and excellent attitudes. I would also like to say a big well done and thank you to all of the staff in school for the continuous hard work, enthusiasm and team work that they show in everything that we undertake. The overall report really reflects our school and the family ethos that Witton-le-Wear Primary School tries to embody in eveything that we do. We look forward to taking our school forward in the future in partnership with the children, staff, parents, governors and our local community.”
