So tonight we closed our school gates, closed to all but a few of our children, for the last time in goodness knows how long!
This has been an unprecedented and incredibly challenging week. School staff have all worked tirelessly throughout the uncertainty, to ensure our children remained safe, calm & well cared for.
We unsure if our Year 6 children will return to our primary school but at least they have all had an amazing couple of days at Robinwood, memories made that’ll last a lifetime! Please know that whatever the future holds, you will always be part of our school family, welcomed with a smile & open arms!
This is an unusual, bizarre and upsetting time for everyone, but Witton School is an amazing place, made brilliant because of our children, parents & staff. We will continue to smile & carry on through this crisis, with staff putting their own health (& that of their families) at risk to care for the children of critical front-line workers and the vulnerable children in our school community.
This is a tremendous learning curve for us all but remember we are all in this together and when regular school days return (and they will eventually!) we will go from strength to strength in the knowledge that we are all part of one big happy family, part of a special, supportive fabulous community.
Take care of one another and please follow all government guidelines: If it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be. Remember, there is no point in closing schools unless we all practice social distancing. Stay safe, keep others safe, stay calm and enjoy some family time.
We hope to see you all soon x
